Fincher Property Discussion, Ordinance Second Reading on May 26 Called Meeting Agenda

The Cave Spring City Council will meet at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, May 26. The agenda includes a second reading of the truck stop and convenience store ordinance as well as a discussion about the city’s 123 Fincher Street property.

Other upcoming city council meetings include:

  • June 2 at 5 p.m. - work session
  • June 9 at 6 p.m. - council meeting
  • June 23 at 6 p.m. - special called meeting/budget second reading

Agendas for each will be posted on the city website prior to the meeting. The full agenda for the May 26 meeting is below:

Dec. 4, 2025 Work Session and Council Meeting

Though I cannot vote on anything until next month, I want to keep you informed about what is happening with your city government. Tonight’s work session and regular meeting covered a lot of ground. Rather than running through every agenda item, here are a few highlights. Work Session Motel update - According to City Manager Nick McLemore, renovations on the motel are moving forward.  Lights on city hall property - The city is going to ensure that the parking lot and sidewalks are adequately lit. Sewer project - Work is wrapping up and the contractors are going through some final testing and punch-list items.  Police equipment - Chief Lacey brought a request before council regarding new equipment for the police department including pistols, shotguns, shotgun racks, body cameras, radar units, a computer and software.
