[UPDATED] Truck Stop Ordinance, Manhole Project on Work Session Agenda

The Cave Spring City Council will meet for a work session on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.

Items on the agenda include the manhole repair project at the traffic light, the water project and a truck stop ordinance proposed by Chairman Dennis Shoaf. 

The purpose of the truck stop ordinance as listed in the draft ordinance is “To establish a truck stop/high-intensity fueling overlay district; to impose location, design, operational, environmental, and buffering standards; to provide for grandfather protection of existing facilities; to establish a conditional use permit process; and for other purposes.”
